The One WATCH(es)

This project stemmed from widely circulated rumours about S. Korea’s secretive national agency.
The rumours prompted the designer to ask: does the authority safeguard individual security, or does it expose people to risk?
Through research driven speculation based on the rumours, which is spread among the public as widely known information while the agency remains veiled, the project provides the conjecture that if such a system penetrates further into the daily lives of the public, it could lead to the formation of a mutually surveilling society.

*This project is an independent artistic exploration inspired by publicly available narratives and social perceptions. It does not claim to represent factual information about any specific organization. The designer and this project maintain no affiliation with, nor access to, any national agency. The work is purely speculative and conceptual, focusing on the cultural imagination of surveillance rather than the operations of real institutions.
