Future’s Tomorrow
gif로 과정샷
This work reflects the era in which, amid the mixture of media bias, fake news, and an overflow of information are consumed together, it has become ambiguous which information one should select and consume. Facts and fictions are intertwined, consumed and spread like memes, and at times a piece of news or an image that seems like a joke may even foretell the future.
Composed of pieces, this work is not known to exist as a completed collection, nor is the number of pieces fixed. The audience searches, gathers, and assembles the pieces, and by menifesting their own “future’s tomorrow” before their eyes, they come to read it. The information we consume with laughter may well be drawing the reality of our tomorrow.
At Design Academy Eindhoven, through Futures’ Tomorrow, social designers who are frequently asked with questions about whether the end of capitalism or the end of the planet will come first and who continue to examine future discourses came together to explore and visualize their envisioned tomorrow.
